The course "Synthesis and functionalization of nano and micromaterials" focuses on the preparation of nano and micromaterials and their chemical modification, with emphasis on functionalization methods using organic chemistry. The course focuses on the following topics: " Types of nano and micro materials " Preparation of 0D, 1D and 2D materials " Use of modified precursors for preparation of nano and micro materials " Examples of the most commonly used reactions for the functionalization of nano and micromaterials " The use of non-covalent interactions in the functionalization of nano and micromaterials " Modification of nano- and micromaterials by chemical reactions based on bioorthogonal chemistry principles " Analytical techniques used to confirm successful functionalisation In addition, the course includes individual consultations with students to discuss specific procedures for the preparation and functionalization of nano and micromaterials, which they apply in the creative part of their studies in the DSP. On the basis of the consultations, students are recommended further current literature (research articles).
