Course content
The seminar aims at the basic concepts and terminology of the theory of literature as well as the literary history and criticism. The basic topics dealt with are Czech literature as a field of study, a scheme of the literary communication, literary genres, versology and narratology, tropes and figures, division of the history of literature into periods, major works on the history of the Czech literature.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
