Course content
The course is aimed at the understanding of the literary history as a part of both the national and the European cultural heritage. Key topics: division of the Czech literature history into periods; topics and genres in the old Czech literature; lettres from Old Church Slavonic through latin to baroque and the period of humanism. Editions of the old texts.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
