Course content
1. Architecture, architectonic style, pre-Romanic and Romanic architecture in our country. 2. Roman-Gothic and Gothic architecture in our country. 3. Renaissance character of architecture. 4. Baroque and rococo character of architecture. 5. Adam architecture and Empire. 6. Historicist and romanticist character of architecture. 7. Secession and modern character of architecture. 8. Cubist character of architecture. 9. Funkcionalist and constructivist character of architecture. 10. Neoclassical and interwar character of architecture. 11. Post war character of architecture. 12. Contemporary character of architecture in our country.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Observation
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Semestral paper - 40 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of this course is to provide the overview of different style periods, their typical characteristics, architectonal elements and the most significant landmarks of Czech republic.
The students will acknowledge themselves with the informations acording to the goal and the matter of the course.
Prerequisites
Preconditions are frased in the annotation of the course and in the curriculum of the studying programme.
