The study subject is primarily devoted to the theoretical and practical understanding of teaching associated with the issue of citizenship education. In this course, students will focus on the practical use of their existing knowledge of various social sciences and philosophy. The basic intention of the course is to emphasize citizenship and related issues in historical, sociological, anthropological, political and philosophical contexts. From a pedagogical point of view, emphasis will be placed on the direction of the so-called critical pedagogy, which works extensively with the findings of the social sciences. In addition, the course focuses on the interpretation and practical training of key competencies that are associated with citizenship education. In addition, students will focus on the possible transformation of their knowledge from individual social sciences into the teaching of civics.
