Course content
1. Role of the Earth in universe. Time. Spherical astronomy fundamentals. Distance determination in universe. 2. Universe mechanics. 3. Radiation in astrophysics. 4. Astrophysics fundamentals, stars (spectra, structure, evolution). 5. Stellar and galactic astronomy. 6. Solar system. 7. Instruments.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The contemporary knowledge of a structure and developement of Cosmos is presented together with detailed description of astronomical abservational methods.
Fundamental knowledge of theoretical and practical astronomy.
