Course content
1. Atoms and molekules, matter structure, crystals and their properties. 2. Phenomena on surfaces and interfaces. 3. Mechanical waves in solids, sound, ultrasound. 4. Fluids, pressure in fluids and gasses. 5. Phases of matter and their transformations. 6. Shape memory. 7. Electricity, electrostatic induction. 8. Piezoelectricity. 9. Pyroelectricity and ferroelectricity. 10. Electromagnetic induction. 11. Magnetism in matter, permanent magnets, 12. Electromagnetic radiation. 13. Light and its properties. 14. Final remarks and public debate.
