Course content
The subject acquaints students with the basics of measurement of physical quantities and their processing including determination of measurement errors, their determination for selected experiments and measuring instruments. It is shown using the computer when processing the measurement results (EXCEL, ORIGIN). The practical part of the seminar is concrete laboratory tasks including the subsequent processing of the measurements made. Warp: 1. Methods of measurement of physical quantities. 2. The measured value and its approximation from a statistical set of measured data. 3. Measurement accuracy and its expression: deviation-uncertainty-measurement error, error interval. 4. Direct measurement of physical quantities, arithmetic mean, uncertainty of measurement. 5. Indirect measurement of physical quantities, uncertainty of measurement. 6. Weighted average, linear regression, linearization. 7. Fundamentals of numerical data processing. 8. Practical part 1. 9. Practical part 2. 10. Evaluation of measured functional dependencies. 11. Assessment of practical measurement. 12. Processing data using EXCEL. 13. Work in the statistical environment Origin. 14. Test, credit.

Test

Presessional teaching: Attendance at exercises, completion of assignments during the semester, successful completion of the final test. Distance learning: participation in online exercises, completion of assignments during the semester, successful submission of the final paper.
