The subject is devoted to the theory and practice of remote sensing of the Earth, which will be practically presented in selected tasks. The tasks will be focused primarily on the Liberec region (with an overlap across the national border). The student will master the method of obtaining DPZ data from existing, mostly freely available sources (Landsat, Sentinel system data), including the acquisition of own data using UAVs (includes preparation of field collection, legislative aspects and field work itself). The acquired data will be learned to be pre-processed (correction of geometric and radiometric errors, image enhancement), analyzed in a GIS environment (controlled and uncontrolled classification, index calculations) and interpreted. Students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for the application of DPZ in urban and landscape planning, climate plans and other geographical topics.
