Learning outcomes |
In the first lectures, the student will learn the basic principles and methods of remote sensing. The history of Earth sensing and the reasons for this activity will also be presented in an abbreviated form. The course deals in detail with the possibilities of using freely available remote sensing data. The student will learn how to obtain data from freely available sources for the area, followed by their analysis and interpretation of results. Examples of interpreted data (map outputs) are: surface temperature map, vegetation index - NDVI, surface moisture index - NDWI, building construction index - NDBI. The exercise will also test the raid of the area of interest of the UAV - processing of orthophoto and digital surface model.
