He/She operates with the concepts of home, place, region, identity, natural/cultural landscape, genius loci. He understands the terms in the historical context, from the Greek terms chora and topos through the approach of human geography, eg Vidal de la Blache and through the founders of modern humanistic geography (Tuan's work) to current concepts of British humanist geographers, such as Cresswell.

Prerequisites
The aim of the course is to transfer knowledge and skills in human and cultural geography to KGE students and to teach them to understand their own values and attitudes within broader contexts, as well as to comprehend local communities and big cultures.
