Course content
1. Cross-border cooperation: philosophy, actors, content, form, intensity, development in Europe and in the CR 2. EU regional policy: the creation, development, objectives, tools, programming process 3. Promoting cross-border cooperation in the framework of EU regional policy: objectives, tools, geographic focus, the cross-border 4. Promoting cross-border cooperation in the CR: PHARE CBC, INTERREG IIIA European Territorial Cooperation (Objective 3), the role of Euroregions 5. Project management: project preparation, practical experience with implementation of projects, specific examples of projects (excursion) 6. Euroregions - the structure that supports the development of cross-border cooperation: Typology of structures, the definition of Euroregions, specific examples 7. The functioning of Euroregions: Euroregions in the CR, a concrete example of the Euroregion Neisse-Nisa-Nysa

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The course aims to introduce students to the issue of cross-border cooperation and the support of the EU regional policy. First, students learn about the functioning of EU regional policy in general, with the support of the transboundary cooperation in Europe, the Czech Republic and directly in the Euroregion Neisse. Become familiar with the specific activities of the Euroregion and successful projects in its territory (in the form of excursions). Emphasis on practical application of knowledge will be realized through the preparation of a specific project application.
