Course content
|
1. The boundaries and position of the CR - the location, status, connection, development of the area, state and territorial administrative organization. 2. Relief / rock, climate, hydrology, soil and vegetation cover 3. Natural landscapes, orographic structure, physical geographical units 4. Natural resources, ecosystems as capital 5. Nature Conservation and Landscape, Nature, protected areas - national parks, protected landscape, NPR, PP, VKP. 6. Settlement and population: a system of settlement, population structure, demographic reproduction / population development 7. Economic base: agriculture, industry and services - the development and changes after 1989, foreign investment 8. Transport and transport infrastructure, transport system efficiency, transit axis 9. Tourism - Potential / factors / attractors of tourism and recreation, facilities, regional tourism 10. External relations and trade, international integration groupings; European Union. 11. Regions and their characteristics / traits / meaning. 12. Examples and importance of a regional breakdown (regionalization). Areas, regions, districts, typology of villages and settlements; 13. Main sources of information and processing procedures of the CR and in the country.

Learning outcomes
|
Student should have knowledge of the extent lecture and literature, should be well informed and to know: the physical geographic condition of the Czech Republic. It is focused on geology, landforms, climate, water resources, soils, flora and fauna. Certainly the protection of nature and environmental problems is discussed too. Further It´s the socio-economic characteristics, economic base; the regions and their characteristics, etc.
Students understand and evaluate the topics discussed in the subject.

Oral exam, Written exam, Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment
Knowledge in the range of lectures and literature. Credit: Active participation in practice, elaboration of semestral work, successful graduation in test. Details on the first practice. Exam: compound.
