The Health Impact Assessment Method (hereinafter HIA) makes it possible to take health into account in various documents (concept, policy, strategy, plan, program or project), describe public health effects (negative and positive), set indicators, assess sources of health data, design tailor-made monitoring, determine the conditions for the selection of projects and, above all, adjust the objectives of the documents so that the protection and promotion of public health is the result of their fulfillment.
