Course content
1) Rock, mineral, rock cycle, basics of mineralogy 2) Glowing, transformed and sedimentary rocks 3) The origin of the universe, the solar system and the Earth, the composition of the Earth 4) Basic geological processes and processes on Earth 5) The origin and definition of life on Earth, global rules of life 6) Global geological evolution of Earth and life on Earth 7) Main geological units in the Czech Republic, their definition; 8) Czech massif, general characteristics and its distribution 9) Moldanubic, Kutná Hora-Svratka, Středočeská, Lugická and Moravskoslezská oblast; 10) Permocarbon Limn; 11) Czech chalkboard 12) Tercier and Quaternary of the Bohemian Massif; 13) Fly Band, Vienna Basin and Carpathian Depression of the Western Carpathians 14) Ice Age and Recent Developments in the Landscape

Oral exam, Written assignment

Continuous evaluation of preparation and activity on exercises, assessment of written summary of basic information and case studies presented in work on exercises (credit). Oral exam focused on the presentation and defense of selected solutions of geography applications.
