Course content
|
Students will learn the basic aspects of the development of architecture in the 19th and 20th century. Lectures and additional exercises (in the field in front of the originals) are conceived chronologically from classicism through individual forms of historicism, Art Nouveau, functionalism to forms of housing in the 20th century. Emphasis will be placed on regional specifics, German-speaking architects (Lossow and Kühne, Rudolf Bitzan, Heinrich Lauterbach, Max Kühn and others) or the activities of the Sial group.

Learning outcomes
|
The lecture focuses on interpreting subjects of painting, architecture, sculpture in this region from the early modern age till present time. The main focus is going to be given to the 19th and 20th centuries.
It corresponds to the definition of the subject and to the demands given in syllabus.
