Course content
Annotation: The lectures, firstly, introduce prehistory as a science with its basic methodological approach. It pays attention to Prehistory and Ancient History (until the arrival of Slavs) with emphasis on development in the Czech and Middle Europe. Themes of lectures: 01)-02) Definition of the subject of Prehistory - prehistory, protohistory and archeology. Methods of archeological work 03) Development of opinions on the origin of people, proces of antropogenesis 04) Early paleolit and mesolit 05) Neolitic revolution and its significance in human history 06) Neolit 07) Eneolit 08) Early and middle Bronze Age 09) Young and late Bronze Age 10) Hallstatt culture 11) Latene culture - Celtic civilization and its inheritance 12)-13) Roman era and the Migration period 14) Summary of course

Learning outcomes
The subject introduces Prehistory as a science with its basic methodological approach. It pays attention to Prehistory and Ancient History (until the arrival of Slavs) with emphasis on development in the Czech and Middle Europe.
It corresponds to the definition of the subject and to the demands given in syllabus.
