Course content

The subject introduces students to the phenomenon of political propaganda carried out by means of film. Film thanks to the technical progress became one of the most effective means of propaganda in the second half of the 20th century. The audience can be manipulated explicitly or implicitly by means of the content or the form of film.This medium is dangerous mainly in totalitarian regimes where conditions of the plurality of opinions are lacking. Students will become familiar with the phenomenon of political propaganda conducted through the film.

Fulfilment of previous study obligations, knowledge of Czech, Czechoslovak and European history, culture and history.
