Course content
In this semester, the seminar Prague Spring 1968/69 will be taught from a personal perspective, which aims to acquaint students with the issues of the reform movement in Czechoslovakia in the late 1960s. and with the beginnings of the so-called normalization and with the basic methods of oral history, which he will try to apply on the above topic. Students will acquire basic theoretical knowledge of the issues of conducting interviews with witnesses using the method of oral history and subsequent processing and analysis of recordings. They will then apply this knowledge in practice. Their task will be to conduct an interview with at least two witnesses of the Prague Spring, and they may not only be active participants in the reform movement, but also politically and socially less engaged or non-engaged citizens. The course also includes work with documents obtained from the personal archives of narrators, or from other sources.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the seminar is the practical application of skills in working with archival and printed publications and professional literature. Students will develop acquired knowledge of the procedures of historian's work in heuristics, critique of sources and literature and creation of seminar work in various areas of history.
It corresponds to the definition of the subject and to the demands given in syllabus.
