Course content
1) Text - 16th century 2) Text - 19th century 3) Sound recording - media of the first half of the 20. th century 4) Visual media - sound film, newsreels thirties, fourties of the 20th century. 5) Visual media - ads, propaganda movies contributing to the research of the Cold War 6) Editing video 5) Creating subtitles

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming)

Learning outcomes
The lecture focuses on interpretation and traslation of English multimedia sources. Its goal is to help Czech students to understand an use multimedia historical material
Students will learn the basic trends that influence the political, economic and social development of Europe and the world in the period from 1918 to 1945.
Prerequisites
Fulfilment of previous study obligations, knowledge of modern world history.

Student's performance analysis

Active attendance on discussions (lessons); fulfilment of homework; passing a test successfully; study of recommended literature
