Course content
The subject presents selected aspects of Baroque art in Bohemia and Moravia in the context of European development, with the focus on works from the Liberec region. The main topics are architecture, painting and sculpture. Attention is also devoted to applied art and folk architecture. For better understanding of the art development in the Baroque period, concrete regional themes are preceded by a general lecture explaining the main sources of inspiration, people and works of the period concerned. Another topic is the phenomenon of Baroque collecting. Prerequisites
Fulfilment of previous study obligations, and general knowledge of Czech history and art history.

Oral exam, Student's performance analysis
