Course content
Annotation: The aim of the course is to introduce students to professional work in the gallery. The content of the individual hours will be a theoretical and practical introduction to the issues of exhibition: exhibition idea, space, theoretical processing of the assigned project - selection of works of art, issues of installation, promotion. Thematic definition: 01) Visit to the Regional Gallery in Liberec, introduction to the issue of galleries and museums of the Czech Republic 02) Periodicals focusing on fine art, history of fine art collecting, gallery, museum, gallery, house of art (Kunsthalle), art associations of the Czech Republic, history and present, professional association, ICOM code of ethics 03) Current valid legislation regarding museums and galleries 04) European and world galleries - history, collection funds, catalogs, museums and galleries of the Liberec region, focus, collection funds, publication activity 05) Content of gallery work: presentation, professional activity; proposal of possible exhibition projects 06) Exhibition concept, theoretical elaboration - creation of portfolio, gallery and public; creating an accompanying program for the general public with a focus on different age categories 07) Protection and security of collections; issue of financial security of the project, creation of accompanying printed materials (invitations, poster, catalog, PR texts)

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Individual creative and artistic activities

Learning outcomes
The aim is to present the scientific work in a gallery. The content of the subject is the theoretical and also practical introduction into the problems of exhibition making. Exhibition idea, theoretical elaboration of the project - choice of arts, financial interest, instalation problems, advertising.
It corresponds to the definition of the subject and to the demands given in syllabus.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities, 

Active participation in individual classes; fulfillment of assigned tasks; recommended literature studied. As part of the teaching - exercises and lectures - active participation, work with assigned texts is assumed. Students will visit at least three different exhibitions/objects and present them as part of the exercise. Together we will visit the exhibition 1000 und Deine Sicht in Zittau. Participation in joint teaching hours is mandatory.
