Course content
Seminars (themes): 1. Theoretical introduction to the graphical topics - overview of software tools, getting acquainted with the possibilities of the classroom equipment. 2. Raster Graphics - Photoshop's basic tools, program layout, raster graphics principle. 3. Raster Graphics - A variety of tools and layers, resolution issues. 4. Raster graphics - color modes, layers. 5. Raster graphics - selections (procedures, tools). 6. Raster graphics - selections (techniques, advanced tools). 7. Raster graphics - colors. 8. Raster graphics - export formats, preparation for printing. 9. Vector Graphics - Basic Illustrator settings and layout, vector graphics principle. 10. Vector Graphics - Tool palette and its functions. 11. Vector Graphics - Objects (drawing, manipulating, filling, adjusting anchor points and control points. 12. Vector graphics - export formats, preparation for printing. 13. Assignment and work on student semestral project. 14. Completion and presentation of a semestral project.

Learning outcomes
The course focuses on the theoretical aspects of graphical data processing and professional techniques for mastering software for computer graphics and photo editing. Students will get acquainted with different techniques of raster and vector graphics processing and consequently can effectively use the tools of individual programs for further real practice. Subject graduates effectively control the basic graphics features of Adobe software: photo editing, texting, creating illustrations and graphics, preparing graphic documents for further processing (print, web, digital distribution, and devices). After the course, the students will be able to navigate navigate in the field of computer graphics creation and editing, familiarize themselves with the tools and capabilities of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Practical demonstration of acquired skills

Credit requirements: 80% attendance at seminars, processing of graphic tasks during the semester, submission of a semestral project consisting in completing the graphic product.
