Course content
Lectures 1. Introduction into the mulutimedia, basic theory 2. Common attributes of multimedia, polymedia, hypermedia; multimedia dimensions 3. Raster graphics 4. Vector graphics 5. 3D graphics 6. Animation of raster, vector and 3D graphics 7. Graphics acquisiton devices 8. Video - history, principles, algorithms and formats 9. Video - acquisiton devices and technologies 10. Video - presentation technology 11. Sound - history, principles, algorithms and formats 12. Sound - acquisiton and presentation devices and technologies 13. Multimedia - interactivity and interactive elements 14. Design and developement of multimedia products Tutorials 1. Multimedia - software overview, avilable technolgies 2. Raster graphics - basic overview of software funcitons and interface 3. Raster graphics - global editing of raster graphics, principles and techniques 4. Raster graphics - creative and local editing of raster graphics 5. Vector graphics - basic overview of software funcitons and interface, comparation with raster graphics 6. Vektorová grafika - practical use of vector graphics 7. 3D graphics - basic overview of 3D graphics applications and software, static 3D graphics 8. 3D graphics -3D animation, rendering 9. Digital video - applications, codecs, basic examples of video converting and editing 10. Digital video - acquisition devices and technology, advanced editing 11. Sound - wave editorys and sequencers, input and output formatsbasic acquisition technology and devices 12. Animation and interactivity 13. Design and developement of multimedia products - practical project 14. Project presentation

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Demonstration, Project teaching, Working activities (workshops), Individual creative and artistic activities

Learning outcomes
Aim of the subject is to make students acquainted with the basic acquisition, editing and presentation technology in the field of digital mutimedia. In this course, students acquire knowledge of various multimedia and learn to effectively use programs both for presentation and in creative process. Economcical overview and business application of various multimedia products and technology is an integral part of the course.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination, Student's performance analysis, Student's linguistic performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Systematické pozorování studenta, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

active participation on seminars min. 80%, practical project on given topic and its presentation, successful passing of written test of theoretical part of this course min. 60%, oral exam of theoretical knowledge min. 60%
