Course content
To provide students with elementary knowledge and skills for education of geometry at 1st grade of basic school - matter explanation, methodical approaches. Creating of curricular instruments and work with them. Construction of geometrical patterns, calculation of volume and area (triangle, square, rectangle), unit transformation, acquaintance with geometrical patterns (nets of solids). Exercises: Exercises: 1.-2. Construction of parallelepiped ? square, rectangle. Preparation for semestral thesis. 3.-4. Length of line. Units of length, conversions. Drawing a line of certain length. 5.-6. Perimeter of triangle, square, rectangle. 7.-8. Inference of formulas for calculation of perimeter of triangle, square and rectangle. Word tasks for calculation of perimeter. 9.-10. Area of square and rectangle, tasks about area. Units of area, conversion of units. 11.-12. Geometrical patterns. Solids. The net of cube, cuboid, pyramid. 13.-14. Reserve.

Learning outcomes
To provide students with elementary knowledge and skills for education of geometry at 1st grade of basic school - matter explanation, methodical approaches. Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Presence in seminars. Semestral work - making of teaching utilities in geometry; elaboration of explanatory learning lesson, conversion of units. Managing of elementary geometry and general didactics.
