Course content
Theoretical introduction into following themes: Numerical systems. Construction ring whole numbers, divisibility. Construction fiel rational numbers, idea of real numbers. Terms, equation and inequaties - their solution. Simile and complicated verbal problems - their classification, phases, and methods of solution. Lectures: 1.- 2. Numeral systems. Expression of the natural numbers in the numeral system, the transfer of written numbers among systems. Numerical operations with numbers in decimal and other numerical systems. 3.- 4. Whole numbers. Construction of field of integrity of whole numbers, its arrangement, absolute value. 5.- 6. Rational numbers. Construction of body of rational numbers, its arrangement, absolute value, numeral axis, extending a body of rational numbers. 7.- 8. Statements - numerical, algebraic, variable. Equations, Inequalities - solving methods. 9.-10. Simple word problems. The term of word problem, mathematization of real situations. Phases of word problem solving, graphical presentation. Addition and multiplication tasks. 11.-12. Compound word problems. The plan and solution phase, analytical and synthetic approach. Some solution methods - an attempt, graphically, special types. creating word problems. 13.-14. Reserve. Exercises: The themes lectured in the past week lecture.
