Course content
The subject is devoted to applications of knowledge of geometry in teaching mathematics in elementary school - developing of geometrical imagination, relations and operations in geometry, measurement in geometry, geometrical projections, construction problems, new trends in teaching process, work with teaching aids, and implementation of CLIL method in teaching geometry. Seminars: 1.- 2. New directions and trends in teaching geometry at elementary school. Observation and analyses of a lesson. 3.- 4. Developing of geometrical imagination - basic geometrical terms of planimetry and stereometry. 5.- 6. Binary relations and operations in geometry at elementary school. Construction problems at elementary school and their solving. 7.- 8. Geometrical projections in a plane and a space at elementary school, their properties and usage. Geometrical measurement at elementary school, its properties, methods of implementation. 9.-10. Teacher's activities in classroom, on the board, with teaching aids etc. Implementation of CLIL method in teaching geometry. 11. Reserve.

Learning outcomes
The subject is devoted to applications of knowledge of geometry in teaching mathematics in elementary school - developing of geometrical imagination, relations and operations in geometry, measurement in geometry, geometrical projections, construction problems, new trends in teaching process, work with teaching aids, and implementation of CLIL method in teaching geometry.
Theoretical piece of knowledge and practical acquirements from required area.
Prerequisites
Knowledge of secondary school mathematics, basic knowledge of English language.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Presence in seminars. Semestral work. Matter of mathematical disciplines, namely didactic of mathematics and Elementary mathematics 1.
