Course content
Simple interest (interest, simple discount), compound interest (future value, number of discounting periods, interest rate, nominal and effective interest rate), cash flow (present and future value), deposit, annuity (immediate, due), amortization. Use of Matlab and Excel to financial calculations.

Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 60 hours per semester

The subject is elementary introduction to financial mathematics.

Knowledge of the secondary level mathematics

Combined examination
