Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 18 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to practise and improve German phonetics while achieving fully understandable pronunciation and intonation without obvious signs of Czech accent. The course builds on theoretical knowledge acquired in the compulsory subject of Phonics and Phonology NJ. It mainly focuses on systematic practice of vowel and consonant pronunciation, taking into consideration the interference errors of a Czech native speaker.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Test

1) regular, active participation (max. 2 unexcused absences) 2) Oral presentation of three selected texts during the semester
