Course content
Translation methods. Functional styles- means of translation (administrative style, journalist style, the style of science, the style of fiction, examples of own translations).

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 18 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Introduction to practical translation. Basic principles and translation methods relevant to particular functional styles.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.
Prerequisites
C1 level knowledge and passing of the basic linguistic subjects (Introduction to linguistics, morphology, syntax, lexicology).

Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Cooperation in the seminars, examples of own translations.
