Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 18 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course Literature NJ2 builds on literary and historically designed study discipline Literature NJ1. Its aim is to provide a basic overview of the history of German written literature from the Biedermeier to the literature of the exile, or until 1945 . The course also deals with German-written literature in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, as well as the literary works of emigrated German-speaking authors from the Czech Republic. A part of the seminar is in working with selected literary texts to illustrate the literary period and to contribute to the practice, broadening and consolidation of students' literary knowledge.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Oral exam, Test

Active participation in seminars, successful completion of assignments, 75% presence in seminars.
