Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 18 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The literary seminar follows up on the subject of Theory of Literature. The course's aim is revision and deepening of the knowledge from the field of literary science and its application in the work with literary texts. The main focus of the seminar is the analysis of German written prose and dramatic literary texts, as well as the use of acquired knowledge in the work with poetry. Literary texts will be analyzed and interpreted on the background of the history of German written literature. Its further systematic discourse will be discussed in the following semesters. The initial material is represented by literature written after 1945.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Oral exam, Test

Active participation in seminars, successful completion of assignments, 75% presence in seminars. Other requirements may vary.
