Course content
Development of foreign language competencies (listening, reading, speaking, writing comprehension) and language devices (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation), all in accordance with The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 34 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
After passing the course, students will achieve B2 level in receptive language skills and B1 level in productive language skills, according to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Students will be able to follow longer talks on abstract and complex topics in the field of their studies. They will acquire a safe working vocabulary, they will be able to work effectively with a monolingual dictionary. In productive skills, students will be able to present a clear and systematic description and presentation. They will express themselves in a clear and detailed manner about a wide range of topics that are related to their profession and areas of their interests.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral exam, Written exam, Student's linguistic performance analysis
