Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 16 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 7 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 9 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the subject is to extend and deepen students' cognitive knowledge base to the intercultural, didactic and communicative level. Students will reflect on Austrian culture in its geopolitical, economic, cultural level. They will also demonstrate relevant factual knowledge depending on the target group of their future pupils. Students will be capable of intercultural comparison of their own and target culture. In the linguistic level, they will get familiarized with the specifics of standard Austrian German and the most popular Austrian dialects. Within the cross-curricular subject of the RVP Language and Communication, students will be able to lead a short-term project task connected to the Austrian culture with a didactic justification of the process .
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.
