Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 18 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The gap between German spoken on the daily basis and spoken language during studies is significant. The aim of this course is to help reduce these differences. The course focuses on selected types of spoken language that are very important for studying: description, scientific lecture and discussion. The emphasis is mainly put on the following questions: How does spoken and written communication differ? What is active listening and why is it a prerequisite for spoken speech? The seminar will use video recordings to enable students to observe, analyze and optimize their own communicative behavior.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.
