Course content


Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Class attendance - 42 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 14 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The subject provides basic introduction to the field of literary science. It deals with general literary and aesthetic categories, presents the sources and methods of literary work and creates a methodological background for the study of literary science.
Language competence development in accordance with the curriculum of the accredited field.

Assessment methods and criteria
Combined examination

Active participation in seminars, successful completion of assignments, 75% presence in seminars. Test and oral examine.
