Course content
Lectures: 1) Family law (concept, subject, sources). Marriage (conclusion, nullity and absence of marriage, extinction. Registered partnership. 2) Mutual rights and duties of parents and children, substitute family care (adoption, foster care, custody of a child other than parents, guardianship, guardianship). Determination of parenthood, maintenance (concept, form, extent, performance, maintenance proceedings, individual types of maintenance obligations). 3) Socio-legal protection of children (concept, authorities, other entities providing socio-legal protection of children; measures of socio-legal protection of children, facilities of socio-legal protection of children, educational measures, parental responsibility, precautionary measures pursuant to institutional and protective education). 4) Basics of administrative law (concept, sources, principles and principles); Public administration (concept, activity, organization and control of public administration, employees of public administration; internal administration, education administration; police administration, prison administration, health administration, culture administration). 5) Territorial self-government (municipality and region - status, establishment, independent and delegated powers, authorities and their powers, municipal / regional office, elections to the councils). 6) Criminal administrative law, misdemeanors, other administrative offenses; administrative proceedings (principles, administrative bodies, participants, course, administrative decisions and their review, administrative execution, public contracts). 7) Status matters - register, citizenship. Problems of foreigners, refugees and asylum. Seminars: 1) Matrimonial property law. 2) Maintenance obligation. 3) Adoption and substitute care of a child (guardianship, custody, foster care, custody of another person, institutional care). 4) Legal environment of public administration: administrative decision-making and control of public administration. 5) Responsibility for administrative delict (characteristics, concept and conceptual features of administrative delict, classification). Public disciplinary offenses. 6) Selected issues of administrative proceedings in the first degree. 7) Selected issues of administrative appeal proceedings.

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course Legal Theory and Practice 2 is to acquaint students with the basics of administrative and family law, including social and legal protection and allow them to understand how it work the above mentioned legal sectors in Czech rule of law, together with the context of the social work and the social policy.
Students obtain knowledge in given course in accordance with requirements and course programme. Students will gain competence to apply knowledge from this course in practice.
Prerequisites
Students don't need special knowledge or visit other courses.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written exam, Oral presentation of self-study

Student elaborates a seminar paper on a given topic, then passes a written exam.
