1. Objectives and development of environmental education, an overview of existing approaches. 2. Ecopsychology, didactic specifics of education of environemnal education, developmental specifics. 3. Theory of environmental education program. 4. Project education in environmental education. Research oriented learning. 5. Field trials and experience. 5. Introduction to evaluation programs of environmental education. Effective strategies. 6. Student conference - discussion of selected articles.

Learning outcomes
|
The course acquaints students with basic concepts of environmental education.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Environmental education 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational practice

Prerequisites

Student has basic knowledge of general pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
|
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment
Active participation in seminars, study of scholar texts, presentation and reflection of selected text.
