Course content
1. Concept, history and directions of environmental education in the Czech Republic. 2. Methods of environmental education (simulation games, discussion techniques, short-term teaching programs, long-term projects ...). 3. Principles of creating environmental educational programs (goals, models, motivation, evaluation). 4. Usable resources. 5. Walk - direct contact with nature, development of sensitivity. 6. Visit of ecocentre.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the different directions of environmental education and principles in the compilation of environmental education programs. The student will try model activities of environmental education in the classroom and in the field and will create his own ecological teaching program.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Environmental education 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of psychodydactics and psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment

Active participation in seminars, presentation, seminar task.
