Course content
Objectives and concepts of environmental education. Current state and structure of environmental education in the Czech Republic. Methods and forms of environmental education. Project education in environmental education. Principles of creation of educational programs and projects of environmental education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Written assignment presentation and defence, Demonstration, Project teaching, Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Preparation for exam - 36 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 58 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course acquaints students with the aims and methods of environmental education, its current state and structure in the Czech Republic.
Student will be able to understand the functioning of environmental education in work with children and adolescents to apply functional elements of environmental education to work with children and adolescents to propose an educational program or an environmental education project
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biology, ecology and pedagogical principles and procedures for program creation.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Presentation of group work, Test

Active participation in exercises. Elaboration of a proposal for an educational program or an environmental educational project. Completion of the test.
