Course content
1. Improvisation ? the key to drama education 2. Theatre play as a means to approach the text 3. Sources of subjects for theatre plays and improvisations 4. Author's theatre, choice of literary basis and its conversion into the theatre form 5. Work with the theatre basis, its conversion into the theatre play and improvisation 6. Scenic means - the scene, costumes, light and music 7. Staging with a children's theatre ensemble

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )

Learning outcomes
The subject is intended for everyone who feels like getting to know the methods and techniques of drama education that enables to prepare a theatre performance with children accordant with abilities and skills of their age. At work, stress will be put on the methodology of children's theatre that is distinctly different from the stage preparation with adult actors, not only in the field of "actors' interpretation", but also in other theatre components.
After completion of the subject student will be: 1. able to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Drama workshop 2. able to reflect the topic critically 3. able to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course, to plan and realize theater performance for children 4. motivated for continuous learning in the field
Prerequisites
Student is acknowledged with basics concepts of drama education.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Presentation of artistic and creative activities

Study objectives: 1. active participation on the lecture 2. participants will perform all given tasks 3. reading of relevant academic texts 4. writing a semestral academic paper 5. successful accomplishment of institutional objectives of the course - attainment above the minimum requirements for the award of credit
