Course content
1. Learning by games/plays and experience. 2. Esthetic games/plays and education of children by art. 3. Open games/plays, space creating, offer of material. 4. Prearranged environment, didactic material. 5. Games/plays for cognitive, social and kinetic development. 6. Games/plays for right-left orientation. 7. Graphic-motoric activities. 8. Development of thinking, memory and creativity. 9. Games/plays for communication and articulation. 10. Cooperative games/plays. 11. Incorporating games into integrated educational blocks in School Educational Programme.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Active metods (simulation, situational contingency methods, drama,acting, namagerial acting )
  • Preparation for credit - 16 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 16 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to use of games and plays in kindergarten.
After completion of the subject student will be able 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Methodology of games and plays 2 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral theses 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process 5. to be motivated for continuous learning in the field
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of pedagogy, psychology and didactics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Didactic test, Written assignment

Active participation at seminars. Study of literature. Essay completion. Test.
