Course content
School educational programme and profile of kindergarten. School educational programme and its creation by teachers. The way of preparing the school educational programme and its content (curriculum). Class educational programme and its creation by teacher - didactic transformation of school educational programme into class educational programme and its detailed elaboration. Class educational programme and its evaluation by teacher - importance of class educational programme evaluation for future development of teachers competencies and quality of kindergarten. Content of education in the school educational programme, methods and forms of work towards its fulfilling. Interconnecting of educational areas in school educational programme and creation of topical complex units. Innovative approaches in pre-school education - Step by Step, Healthy School, inspiration by alternative concepts. Methods and forms of development of key competencies of pre-school children through education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)
  • Preparation for credit - 30 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 32 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 28 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to introduce students to preparation, realization and evaluation of school and class educational programme. Students learn about innovative approaches to pre-school education.
Student will be able: to understand the functioning of methods and forms of pre-school education to use the acquired knowledge and skills in the educational process
Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of general and pre-school pedagogy and didactics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Written assignment, Test

Active attendance at seminars, study of literary resources, essay completion, credit test.
