Course content
1. Socialization of an individual stressing the significance of the child?s socialization in the child group. 2. Social learning, imitation, identification. Social perception, social cognition and attribution (interpretation) in teacher?s work. Social attitudes, their formation and change. Prejudices. Importance of teacher?s reflection working with own attitudes and prejudices. 3. Interpersonal relationships, conformity, preferences, rejection. The influence of conformity on individual?s behaviour in the group. 4. Group dynamics in a small group of pre-school children ? group interaction and communication, collective game, relationship development. Age-homogenous versus age-differentiated groups. Possibilities to find out about group climate in pre-school groups of children. 5. Prosocial behaviour (altruism). Social-psychological games to support prosocial behaviour in pre-school classes. 6. Aggression. Manifestation and causes of aggression in pre-school child group. Possibilities where teacher can influence aggressive behaviour and children can change it. Social-psychological games to limit aggression in a child group of pre-school age. Social-psychological games to lower aggression in a group of pre-school children. 7. Social communication. Basics of interpersonal communication of the pre-school child. Social-psychological games to support appropriate communication in a group of pre-school children. 8. Structure of a small pre-school children group ? relationships, roles, statuses, norms. Social-psychological games focused on accepting various roles in a group of pre-school children. 9. Cooperation and competition.Conflicts and their solving in a group of pre-school children. Social-psychological games to support cooperation in a group of pre-school children. Co-existence of cultures in pre-school education. 10. Social support. Significance of social support at work with a children group in pre-school education.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The course is organized for students to be able to understand the context of basic social-psychological phenomena in a group; to know basic terminology and understand fundamental processes and phenomena of social psychology applied on child group in pre-school education and on the relationship teacher-child group (individual social behaviour, interpersonal social behaviour, group social behaviour); to be able to influence the child group dynamics and intervene appropriately to support desirable behavior ? prosocial group behaviour, group communication, cooperation); to be able to reflect their teacher role and work with the child group in term of Social Psychology (importance of attitudes, social perception, attribution in teacher work).
After completion of the subject student will be able 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Relationships in child group 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral theses 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process 5. to be motivated for continuous learning in the field
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of general and developmental psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Student's performance analysis, Practical demonstration of acquired skills, Written assignment

80% attendance, active participation on the reflections and self-reflections in the student group, evaluated seminar paper - preparation of educational program to support pro-social behaviours, cooperation and communication in the group of pre-school age children.
