Course content
1. The personality of Rudolf Steiner and his pedagogical work. 2. Anthroposophy and theosophy in the concept of Waldorf pedagogy. 3. Waldorf pedagogy ? basic principles: analysis, synopsis. 4. The concept of child in Waldorf pedagogy. 5. Education and growth of children's personalities in Waldorf kindergartens. 6. The content and forms of Waldorf pre-school education.

Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Problematic methods (research and exploration), Group consultation
  • Class attendance - 20 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The course introduces students to basic principles of Waldorf pedagogy and Waldorf school system. After completing the course, students will be able to analyse general pedagogical and didactic issues in the context of Waldorf pedagogy. The subject is taught in cooperation with Waldorf kindergartens in Turnov and Rovensko pod Troskami. Prof. Dr. Tomáš Zdražil of Waldorf University in Stuttgart participates in teaching the subject.
After completion of the course the student will be able to: 1. Understand the perspective of Waldorf pedagogy on child. 2. Design an educational unit in the spirit of Waldorf pedagogy. 3. Understand the basics of Waldorf pedagogy.
Prerequisites
Student has knowledge of general education.

Assessment methods and criteria
Written assignment

Conditions to pass the course successfully: - at least 75% participation in seminars - the processing of written analysis and reflection of Waldorf pedagogy and the selected educational units in Waldorf kindergarten on the basis of study prescribed by the literature - orientation in studied issue of the extent of syllabus
