Course content
1. Personal and social education - definition, goals, methods, outputs, safe environment, preparation, evaluation. 2. Competences of teachers for application of personal and social education. Personal and social education and thematic blocks. 3. Who am I - self-knowledge, self-esteem, self-regulation and self-organization. 4. Me and others, the others and me - the relationship of the children to their peers and adults, sharing, understanding others, communication, cooperation, competition, problem solving. 5. Me and the world around - perception of difference, perception of risks, healthy lifestyle, family, application in the world. 6. Creativity. Values, attitudes, practical ethics. 7. Psychosocial burden in teacher's work, psycho-hygienic habits.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Motoric and practical working skills training

Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the area of personal and social education, which is permeated in all educational fields in the educational process. Personal and social education contributes in the work of the teacher to the authentic establishment of relations with children and their parents, the development of relationships between children, the relationship of the child to himself and the relationship of the child to the world surrounding him. In order to effectively manage the demands of education expressed above in terms of teacher competencies, it is essential for the teacher to acquire the skills represented in this area.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Personal and social education 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment

Active participation in seminars, creation and presentation of seminar task.
