Course content
Within the course the students carry out surveys and observation, controlled observation, analysis in selected preschool institutions (common, special, alternative: 2x common kindergarten, special kindergarten at Jedličkův Institute in Liberec, kindergarten with elements of Montessori and Waldorf pedagogy) and other pedagogical and social institutions (Human in Need, Paprsek Children's Center). The student acquaints himself with various types of kindergarten in the Liberec region, participates in consultations with the headmasters of the kindergarten, with the didactic consultants of practice, reflects the realized observations.

  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 56 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to provide students with their own field experience.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of basic phenomena in everyday life in kindergartens 2. to reflect basic phenomena of everyday life in kindergartens critically 3. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
General knowledge of basic concepts in pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio, Oral presentation of self-study

Oral colloquium, reflections and analyses of the practice observations as part of the student's portfolio, elaboration of documents for the hospitations, elaboration of given tasks.
