Course content
1. Developmental stages of human life (by E. H. Erikson). Biological and psychological parenthood. 2. Basic psychological needs of children. 3. Family system, family development, father's influence, mother's influence. Siblings and wider family. 4. Roles, places and forces in family system. 5. Adolescence, separation, unfinished separation and its influence on child. 6. Pathological and dysfunctional family, disordres as reflection of family's dysfunction. 7. Teacher's work with child from dysfunctional family.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Monological explanation (lecture, presentation,briefing), Dialogue metods(conversation,discussion,brainstorming), Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments)

Learning outcomes
The aim is to present to students origins and functions of families and family like systems, family conceptions, roles and places of family members, family influence on children experience. The course presents child development since birth to adulthood and leaving primal family focusing on developmental specifics and its reflections in family system. The course presents types of parental educational styles, influence of mother and father on children of both sexes. The course connects theory with practical approach. It also focuses on family pathology and dysfunction. The aim is to prepare students for perceiving possible differences which occurs with children from dysfunctional environment, and for possible intervention. The aim is also to provide students with holistic picture of child's experience and possibilities to influence through educational styles.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of prescribed curriculum of Psychological issues of family 2. to reflect the topic critically 3. to demonstrate specific intellectual skills gained in a course in writing of a semestral paper 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of psychology.

Assessment methods and criteria
Oral presentation of self-study, Written assignment

Active participation in seminars, preparation of all assigned tasks, seminar task.
