Course content
Within the course, the students regularly (once a week) attend the selected nursery school and prepare for their own pedagogical activities with children. The student gains orientation in the day-to-day operations of the kindergarten, observes in practice the professional competence of the teacher of the kindergarten, improves his own pedagogical-psychological and methodological readiness for the preparations and for the individual management of pedagogical activities with children. The observed issue and the initial independent pedagogical activities are reflected by the trainer and the practice manager and methods of evaluation of pedagogical activities are learnt.

Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Observation, Individual consultation
  • Class attendance - 84 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 14 hours per semester
  • Preparation for credit - 12 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
The aim of the course is to build on existing forms of practice and to deepen the direct experience with the field.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of basic phenomena in everyday life in kindergartens 2. to reflect basic phenomena of everyday life in kindergartens critically 3. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
Student has basic knowledge of pedagogy.

Assessment methods and criteria
Interview, Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Participation in exercises and regular continuous professional practice in kindergarten, conducting pedagogical diary, discussion of topics observed during the course of practice, analysis of the observed issues.
