Course content
The student is oriented in the professional competencies of the teacher in the kindergarten, he is able, on the basis of pedagogical-psychological and methodological readiness, to prepare independently the preparation of the thematic units of pre-school education. After teaching the student reflects his practical outputs with a training teacher and a senior practitioner, and manages methods of assessing his pedagogical work in relation to the Frame Educational Program for Pre-school Education and the professional competencies of the teacher in the kindergarten.

Learning activities and teaching methods
Self-study (text study, reading, problematic tasks, practical tasks, experiments, research, written assignments), Individual consultation, Demonstration of student skills, Clinical practice under supervision
  • Preparation for credit - 20 hours per semester
  • Class attendance - 120 hours per semester
  • Home preparation for classes - 20 hours per semester
Learning outcomes
Within the course the students perform independent pedagogical activities in selected kindergarten. The aim of the course is to build on the existing forms of practice and to deepen the experience with the field.
After completion of the course student will be able: 1. to understand the content of basic phenomena in everyday life in kindergartens 2. to prepare, conduct and evaluate own educational practice in kindergarten 3. to reflect basic phenomena of everyday life in kindergartens critically 4. to apply gained knowledge in educational process
Prerequisites
Student has knowledge of and skills in pedagogy, psychology and didactics.

Assessment methods and criteria
Presentation of acquired experience via portfolio

Cooperation with kindergarten teachers in the management of individual pedagogical activities with children in kindergarten, creation and continuous storage of records in the portfolio, final consultation with the practice manager on his own portfolio.
